Get Involved
Since Discovery Park’s inception a half-century ago, countless volunteers have contributed to improving this natural, open space. Friends of Discovery Park was founded to carry-on the mission of preserving and protecting the Park today, tomorrow, and for future generations.
Thanks to the devotion of ordinary citizens and public servants who chose to get involved, today’s Discovery Park is the extraordinary gem of greenspace for all to enjoy. Unless many more get involved, we risk losing what makes Discovery Park special. Here’s how you can get involved:
Donate
and become a Friend of Discovery Park.
Volunteer
at our monthly work parties. We take on important park projects, from planting and trail maintenance, to helping stewards care for Discovery Park’s forests.
Advocate
for Discovery Park by supporting our many, ongoing initiatives that protect the Park and push back against harmful alterations.
Visit
us at an upcoming event or join us at a monthly Friends of Discovery Park Board meeting.
Report
issues at the Park by being our eyes and ears on the ground.
Sign-Up
for our monthly newsletter to stay updated on the latest Discovery Park news.
Follow
us on social media to gain information and see beautiful visuals of Discovery Park.
Contact
us with any questions you have about Friends of Discovery Park.

“There must be a deep commitment to the belief that there is no more valuable use of this site than as an open space.”
